This Last 20 to 25 CM snowfall Was A Welcome Sight

All three groomers were on the trails since yesterday morning. Trails groomed: Trail 23 from the intersection of 19/23 at highway 360 (Key Anacon Rd) to Popple Depot, Trail 22 from Nine Mile Shelter to the 22/19 intersection. Trail 19 from the Atlantic Host to Bass River. Some of these trails seen the groomers twice as the snow kept falling. They will be out again today. Please keep safety in mind.

A report from Gary: """" A group of us went up on trail 23 from Roger lake, Piston Alley, continued from popple depot on 23 to serpentine, the trail was very good and it was even double width groomed on park side, On way back we looped around by serpentine lake and came back threw birch lake rd back onto trail 23 and back to Nepisiquit. I would just like to bring up to Nb snowmobile association the importance of having cell tower up here for 911 service. Very important safety issues. We had to drive 35 kms one day last week to get 911 service for a man that had an accident. He was in critical condition. This should not be with today's snowmobile tourism in New Brunswick. There has to be a cell tower on the mountain somewhere to fix this problem. Just a concern of mine and many others, as we are paying for 911 service now, but nobody is accountable for safety of others.""" I agree with Gary on the 911 issue, but until that happens, if ever, it is so important that each sledder has a reponsibility to ride safely on the trails, as I mentioned many times in my posts, that if ever you have an accident, the seriousness will be compounded when riding in remote parts of our trail system.
