Danny Burger Run is still on for tomorrow at Rogers Lake.
Update 11.30AM: We will keep one groomer active for now. Last night we had the #1 out of Roger's Lake, trail 23 to Red Pine shelter, up 507, trail 22 to Nine Mile shelter and down Nine Mile East rd to the Highway 430 and back to Rogers Lake on same route. Trail 23 on Nine Mile West is down to the gravel where the wood operation plowed, so that section is not groomable until we get more snow. The #1 will be out again tonight up on trail 22 to the 301 and then back to governors on piston alley then back to Rogers Lake. We also noticed that the groomers out of the park have been on the trails, so that is a good sign. Tonight will be the last grooming for a while as there will be more soft weather. There is no report back from the operator that groomed last night.
First a big thank you for last night's wing night sponsors, Bathurst Tire and JJ Branch Contracting and another big thank you to all the patrons that drove up from Bathurst.
Back to trails; reports that all is not lost. Every trail west of the Nepisiguit Lodge is either doable and on the good side. Yes there are issues like ice and brown spots and no issues with a lot of good riding. Trails from Bathurst and East Bathurst on Trail 19 to the Nepisiguit Lodge are not groomable and although not confirmed CLOSED, but barely passable. We'll make a decision on this section in the coming days. That short section of plowed road is down to bare ground.
