Wing Night Tonight

Grooming last night had the #2 groom trail 19 from the Atlantic Host to Nepisiguit lodge , then back to East Bathurst. It also did the 501 down towards the Quality Inn and also the 500 over to Bathurst Basin. The #3 did Trail 23 from the Nepisiguit Lodge to Rogers Lake and back to Nepisiguit. The #1 groomed from Rogers Lake on trail 23, Piston Alley up to Popple Depot, 506, and Governors, 503 to Simpsons Fields then back to Rogers Lake. This grooming basically covered the whole trail from Bathurst to Popple Depot plus over to Trail 19 at Simpson Fields.

February is turning out to be a great month for sledding throughout the province and is looking good right into March. We are still seeing heavy tourism here in Bathurst as a result of a great trail system and I keep being reminded by my many friends from out of province. I drove up from the Miramichi on Monday morning and just in that 45 minute drive I noted 33 snowmobile bearing vehicles heading south from the Bathurst area and north. You tell me that this area is not a snowmobile haven.
