We had about 5 cm down on Monday here in Bathurst. Along with the 5mm of rain we had overnight really helps with the base. Throw in the freeze we had over the past week, this will really help with the base. I was just speaking with Alyre at Serpentine and he basically said the same, but they have a little more snow in the “high ground”. Is it enough to go sledding; if you’re hard core it should not be a problem, but you must realize it could be hard on equipment. Don’t do any “ditch banging”! The weather going forward looks good for freezing and that is good news for shoring up the base, which we did not have last year. Going forward with the 14 day forecast, the weather as far as snow is concerned does not favour an early start-up as we’ve had in past years, but may be enough for sleds on good woods roads. We’ll See!
