We Received a Miinimum 20 CM

10:00 AM - March 12, 2024

Good morning from Bathurst.  We received a good 20 cm of heavy with snow, which is better than the 35 we would have received if it wasn't so wet. This snow is really packable and Ron made a test run yesterday from Rogers Lake on trail 23 down to the Nepisiguit Lodge and back. There is more snow in the Rogers Lake area, possibly because the temperatures were more on the negative side in the high ground.

The #1 continued from Rogers Lake last night up Trail 23 on Piston Alley to Popple Depot then over on Trail 503 to Trail 19. It also groomed the 506 and 509.

Although we groomed , the trails will remain soft, but at least they're packed. In no way that you will see the trails as good as they were prior to the mild spell so we'll take anything at this point . We received another 3 cm again last night, so every little bit helps. I'll keep you posted as to where we are going with the grooming, but we can't promise you much as the temperatures are always in the positive.

I was speaking with Alyre from Serpentine yesterday and he reported about 20 centimeters fell in that area, so I'm assuming that the snowfall is similar in the Mount Carleton area. Be careful for sink holes and posible water cuts.

Please note that the nbfsc map seems to have a problem showing groomed trails in our area, namely piston alley and the 503. It's still shows black. Also another note, The Chaleur Club is also out on trail 19.
