First it was another great "Wings Night " at the lodge last night. Thanks again for another great sponsor Jansen Branch and his new company Bathurst Tire.
It is turning out to be a great season on the trails. Here it is nearing the end of March and we're still grooming out of the Atlantic Host in Bathurst. Although it can go to the "pits" very fast, so make the best of it while it lasts. It is still snowing a bit here in Bathurst at post with close to 5 cm down and forecasting more for today. The #1 was out on Piston Alley yesterday from Rogers Lake. The #3 groomed from Nepisiguit tp Rogers Lake and back. The #2 groomed from Nepisiguit down to Bass River on Trail 19 and back to Nepisiguit.
We have had a few interested people step up to see that the following does not happen, but please, we need more: We are getting down to the end of the season and it is time to be looking at a full census of executive and directors for next year. It goes without saying that we need a change throughout the executive branch and board of directors. We’ve had a good run over the last 22 years with Richard Dobson as President, Dave Brewster as 1st Vice and Don Kenny as 2nd Vice. It is time for someone to step up to the plate and take this club to another level. Don’t be one of these people who say “I don’t have time”, “I can’t do it”, “I don’t want to get involved”, “I’m working”. When you get right down to it, you can surprise yourself. Don’t be a freeloader, it is time that you can step up to the plate, or are you one of those people who always say “What have you done for me lately?”
More hands make less work. We have an administration structure laid out and if you want a copy, it can be emailed to you along with job descriptions. We are looking at a total of 12 to 18 people.
If we get some response to this message we can have a meeting within the next week. If we don’t, then we’ll be on a sinking ship with no captain and crew. Let’s hear your response by dropping us an email.
