We are putting in the yellow lines today after a layer of white asphalt

-5 in Bathurst with a light snow falling. I kept monitoring the rainfall and precip yesterday and it didn’t amount to anything. I went out last night and it was as though a paving machine dropped a 1 inch layer of white asphalt over everything, not great for automobiles, but it would be awesome for the trails. It could be different in the high ground as they could have received more snow than the freezing rain. It is calling for flurries for the next 24 hours, but with not much accumulation. If anyone is looking to go sledding for a week up here in the north, I would say that this could be another perfect week with sun every day and very decent temperatures.
Our trails did not see much traffic if any on Sunday so they could be in very good shape without seeing any grooming. We have our supper on Wednesday night with West End Sports as the sponsor. I believe the tickets are sold out, but you can always call the girls at the lodge to see if there are any left over or canceled.
