-15 in Bathurst at post. We had a little surprise 10 CM flurry here yesterday. It all adds to the trail base. The #’s 1 & 2 groomers were out last night. The #2 was in the regrooming of Trail 19 from East Bathurst to Nepisiguit and down to the Host in Bathurst. The #1 was up Trail 23 from Rogers Lake to Serpentine (still on the trail at post). We will have only the 503 to do after this plus a lot of regrooming.
Just a little word on safety: Needless to say I was somewhat disappointed and discouraged in last week’s incident to the point where I was saying to myself “to hell with it”, but was encouraged by a good friend’s phone call from Nova Scotia yesterday with a positive message saying that he noticed a difference in sleds staying on their side especially in the turns since my messages of STAY ON YOUR SIDE. There are many places in the trail system where you can open up, but in winding trails and turns is not the place to do so. There are many more topics that are in my arsenal of safety messages, but this one should especially be heeded. Thanks PS.
Reread Feb 2nd Post.
