. Grooming last night: With favourble temps Ron had two groomers out last night. # 1 Jacob RL-west on 23-507-22 back to 301 turn back out 22 – Nine mile shelter turn back north on 22-507-23 and back to RL. # 2 Mickey Nepisiguit west on 23 to RL, back to Nepisiguit and down to highway360 turn and back to Nepisiguit.
Not much traffic and it shows at the Nepisiguit Lodge. This will be the last week of operations. We are holding on with a skeloton crew and will be open with regular hours through Saturday. Trails are a bit greasy towards Bathurst, but doable for hard core,
Trail report from Bryce Fisher. On Tuesday he left the Atlantic Host on Trail 19 towards Nepisiguit: “The trails at Atlantic Host are done. Two large mud holes are very bad between the Host and the South Tetagouche Road, Highway 180, but once past this the trails were awesome to Nepisiguit Lodge and Rogers Lake. We meet a group from Miramichi at the Nine Mile shelter that were heading to Mount Carlton and they said the trails were great.” I might add the the trails in the Christmas Mountains are reported as awesome compared to early in the season.
