Ron and Jacob were on the #2 yesterday out of the Nepisiguit Lodge on trail 19 to Bathurst. I was speaking with Ron and he was surprised at the outcome of the Trail. They groomed right into the Atlantic Host hotel. He said it wasn't without a few water cuts which he deemed passable, but he was quite surprised with the outcome of the trail. So hopefully we don't get any more soft spells in the next few weeks. We are putting the blessing on this Trail as "good to go". This will be good news for the people wanting to come from Nova Scotia and PEI that need accommodations.
#1 groomed Trail 23 from Rogers Lake to Governors yesterday. It also groomed the 503 into Simpsons Fields on trail 19 as well as the 506 into Dry Gulch Cluster.
All in all we had a good Monday on the groomers and if you look at the nbfsc trail map you will see that the Nepisiguit trails are a pretty green. I would also like to say that we definitely could use more snow. As for the trail 19 heading towards Gloucester Junction from the Key Anacon Road, this Trail has quite a few obstacles in it, namely the hill near the Red Brook shelter and along the CNR rail bed near Gloucester Junction. Ron will make a decision on that later in the week.
