The Season has Begun (But where is the Snow)

Saturday, Dec 16th, 2023, Club #1 The “Early Bird” trail permit has now passed as of today Dec16. In order to get your season pass from this day forward is either through Service New Brunswick for all in province applicants or for out of province it can be at SNB or when you arrive in Bathurst our Club #1 has permits (daily or seasonal) at these locations Atlantic Host Hotel, Quality Inn and or at our club Nepisiguit Sports Lodge. Go to our website under the permit section for details (bathursttrails.com/en/permits) Currently there is no grooming in the province other than in the Edmundston area of Moose Valley. There is some snow in the Serpentine area, but very limited since the last rain. As of the last 8 to 10 years or so, this is a bit unusual for sufficient snow to start grooming in this area, but as they always say. “It will come”. Our lottery is now on (see details by clicking the lottery button at the top of the page). We just completed a big improvement on our Trail 19 between Bathurst and the Nepisiguit Lodge with the installation of a new bridge. These types of installations cost the club dearly and with all the upgrades on bridges and trail upgrades and the purchase of a second new groomer is all the more reason for purchasing a lottery ticket from our club. This cold weather is really helping with establishing a firm base (just need some snow). There is about 6 inches of ice on the head pond near Nepisiguit Lodge so when we do get some snow it should be of decent thickness to cross.

This is the bridge we just replaced on Trail 19. It is located just after you cross highway 430 near Blue Mountain Pit on the first kilometer of "The Line". It was costructed by RH Frenette Group a big sponsor of our Nepisiguit Lodge. Job well done!!!!!
