We got quite a dump of rain here yesterday with about 35mm of the wet stuff. The immediate effects were a big drop in snow depth, but the long range is that you will see all that water flow downhill in the next few days. The next week shows a mixed bag of weather ranging from snow to rain, not much accumulation, but nothing that will help what is left of the snow on some of the trails. It is not that all the trails are lacking snow, but it is to get a trail with a consistent run of good snow where there are no bare patches. I don’t have a first hand account on what is left, but years of watching the trails at this time of year, I believe it is for hard core only.
On another note I would like to sincerely thank Joan Cull on behalf of the executive for her years of service in managing our Nepisiguit Sports Lodge. She has been with us for the last 25 years and has decided on retirement of her duties at the lodge. Her dedication will be sorely missed and we wish her all the best. Enjoy yourself Joan and Thank You for your service.
