Good morning from Bathurst to all our friends everywhere. We had a little surprise this morning upon wakening to a layer of “Farmers Fertilizer”. Yes and it is still snowing. It is zero at present and this will all disappear by the day’s end. However, there is still decent snow in the woods up in the lodge area as well as through Nine Mile, Rogers Lake and I’m sure towards Serpentine. I’ve seen pictures of good snow through the camp areas of Nine Mile East. It was not unusual to see sledders come up for a short run from the lower pars of NBat this time of year, just to say “I was up sledding in May”. Of course if anyone knows “Kevin” (not mentioning his last name here) I know he will be sledding until there is none left. The trail base does stick around for the longest time, especially where it is shaded.
