Good Morning from Bathurst and Club #1. Sorry for the last few days as I have been busy on personal things. As the headline says, there is no lacking of snow in Bathurst. Over a period of about 4 days we had a total accumulation of at least 35 cm if not more. There is still good sledding out of Bathurst from the Atlantic Host, and it only gets better as you approach the high grounds.
Between groomers breaking down and temperatures on the plus side, we've seen limited grooming. Hopefully all comes to an end today. However we've had the number two groomer after it was repaired run from the Atlantic Host out to Nepisiguit two nights in a row including last night. The 501 & 500 were also done. We were waiting for Ann escape hatch window that shattered on us, which we received yesterday (great service from them) and it was installed and put back into service last night. It then groomed trail 19 down to Bass River and back up through Nepisiguit and on to Rogers Lake vvia trail 23, 22, 507, Red Pine Shelter, and 23 where it will be stationed and the Lamtrac unit stationed at Nepisiguit until the end of the season. Hopefully temperatures will be good for grooming tonight for both units to hit the trails again.
Most clubs are still grooming here in the north plus even some on the southern part of the province.
Our last Wings Night will be this Thursday (5 to 8pm). This week's sponsor will be Boucher Machining and they have some fantastic prizes (see below). Come on up to the lodge and enjoy.
