Nine Mile Shelter

Welcome back everyone. With winter fast approaching your Club #1 is getting ready to start another successful season for all our snowmobiler friends. Just to bring you up to speed we’ve been active in trail preparation, lodge renovations and Tyler (Shelter Director) has taken on a rebuild of the Nine Mile Shelter. We want to see this shelter as our signature shelter in our trail system.

Here is Tyler’s message to you: “Winter is starting to creep it’s way back to us, and that means we are getting closer to snowmobile season!! With the season comes a few tasks we collectively need to accomplish. The big job at hand this year is the construction and install of a new shelter to replace 9 mile. The plans have been drawn up, and some material has been procured; however, we are still in need of YOUR help.

The building will be log construction, and so we will be going with a kit from Junction Lumber, based here in Bathurst. The rest of the material still needs to be locked down. (Framing for floor and rafters, plywood for the floor, stovepipe, chimney and roof kit - just to name a few things). What we are asking for - monetary donations / supplies / man-power.
