Lottery & Trails Update

We’ve had a couple of meetings on our club lottery (see our Oct 2nd entry for details) and are getting closer on getting set up for ticket distribution, both by physical means and by this website. Please stay tuned daily for updates on purchasing.
On another note the club is remaining busy on the trail preparation for this coming season and we have some good news pending on different sections of trail, one of which is the Trail 19 & 23 East of Bathurst near the Key Anacon Road or Highway 360. We have a mining company Osisko Metals Incorporated that are doing exploration work through the winter in the area of a section of trail along this highway. We have been in constant meetings with them in rerouting a section of 2 Km of trail in this vicinity. Through talks and negotiations they we going to move the trail, which is going to be a big improvement over what we have now. That section of trail will be moved out of the ditch and into the woods and run parallel to the highway 360 for about 2 Km and will intersect Trail 23 to Allardville /Tracadie at a new location. We are extremely happy about this and it will greatly improve this trail. Osisko is bearing the cost of this and we are deeply grateful to them. I might add that the work they are doing is extremely positive for Bathurst and could potentially be a big economic boom for the North Shore area.
