From Don Kenny; After 35 years of being with Nepisiguit Sports Lodge Snowmobile Club and until this year, just primarily just involved with the website “bathursttrails” and our facebook “Nepisiguit Lodge”, both of which I developed, plus approaching my 80th year this coming summer, I feel I’m ready to pass the torch to someone a little younger. I’ve submitted my intent to our Club #1 executive and it was graciously received and my tenure will cease in Oct 2024. I’m now putting this out to any of our +1300 members to step in and help the committee fulfill my position. Mind you it is not as hard as you think and I’m not expecting anyone with my extreme passion for the club, but it would be great if someone could step forward now so I could mentor you into this position, what I feel is easier than what it looks, but extremely important to the club. There are thousands of daily visitors to the website, primarily to read the daily trail report, which is viewed by them every day. Awaiting your call to me Don Kenny. You can see my contact info on “Contact Us” at https://www.bathursttrails.com/en/contact
Daily Report:::::: First we want to thank the Hatheway Auto Group for another successful Wings Night.
Our #1 groomer was out of Rogers Lake yesterday on its last day of brush cutting. Trail 503 to Simpson Fields was done. The #2 groomed from Nepisiguit to the Host in Bathurst, trails 23 and 19. And last night the #2 groomed from Nepisiguit through Nine Mile Shelter and Trail 22 to the 22/301 intersectiòn and back to Nepisiguit. Most trails are very decent going into today, but yes there are trails that need more snow and I know that our riders see that. All of these trails are very doable and most clubs share the same views.
