How Much Rain + Update 8AM

06:00 AM - January 17, 2023

Update 8.am:  I just got an update from Ron on the #3 groomer (Big Blue). Yesterday Ron had it groomed from our shop in East Bathurst down to Bass River and back up to Nepisiguit Lodge. Apparently the tracking system is not working so you cannot see on the NBFSC grooming map as to where it has groomed. All in all it is great to see that all of our groomers are now up and running. The trails are in great shape and with the three groomers, things can only get better.

What we got yesterday in rain and ice pellets was insignificant and what we did get we have a little bit of an advantage in that there is sufficient snow to overcome what we did get and actually got more snow than rain.. At least 10 to 15 cm and no more than 2 mm of rain. Today may be different.

Yesterday Ron had both groomers out. The #1 did Piston Alley to Governors on Trail 23, the Dry Gulch Cluster 506 and the 503 over to Simpson Fields and the Trail 19. The #2 came back from the Host in Bathurst on Trail 19 and is currently at the Nepisiguit lodge.

Note that the 504 from Popple Depot into the park is now groomed and most of the park trails have been groomed.
