Thursday Club #1
UPDATE 10 AM: #1 out of Rogers Lake to Nine Mile Shelter. It is now on Trail 22 up to The 22/301 intersection. The #2 left East Bathurst and is currently at Nepisiguit Lodge. It will return to the Atlantic Host. As part of the grooming, the groomers have to clean up all highway intersections and this takes time as well. The #3 Big Blue will leave Nepisiguit for Nine Mile Shelter very soon. Summary: Trail 19 from East to Highway 360, Trail 23 highway 360 to Nepisiguit, (#3 will be out from Nepisiguit to Nine Mile Shelter Trail 23), Nine Mile Shelter to Rogers Lake Trail 23 done, Trail 22 to 22/301 almost completed.
-3 at post in Bathurst. Well, we had it all yesterday, snow, freezing rain, Ice pellets, rain an 0 temperatures. All in all we got what we wanted to bring our lower sections of trail, namely Trail 19 from Bathurst. I’m sure all the other clubs here in the north are saying the same. This should put us back in business as far as grooming. Ron made the decision to hold back on the grooming (I might add a wise decision) due to the rain and wet conditions. It dried out a bit last evening with temps dropping below zero. He will have all the three groomers on the go this morning. No specific times for either groomer. I’ll update later this morning on their progress and Trails covered. There were a few sleds out yesterday, but not sure how they made out.
We are in the final 11 days of our Lottery with under 170 out of a 1000 tickets to sell in our 50/50 lottery to support our grooming this year. This lottery is in lieu of the lack of fund raising due to Coved 19. We have 36 cash prizes with the first prize being $25,000. Normally we raise about $45,000 with our fund raisers so with two weeks left you can easily purchase your ticket ON-LINE at www.lottery.bathursttrails.com or locally at our Nepisiguit Lodge or these locations: Kerr's Chainsaw Ltd. Bradley Kerr City Center. Claude Doucet West End Sports. Guy Hache, Brunswick Powersports. 3-Step Contracting. Marc Poirier, Denise Lebreton Pokemouche 727-8398 Please note that if for some reason we can't sell our remaining tickets by Feb 14, we did get permission from the Lottery Commission for a month extension.
