Sun, Nov 24th, Club #1
Had a few reports that trail conditions are great around the Golden Triangle: Rogers Lake Serpentine to Island Lake. Some are afraid of a little rain, but you need that to make a decent base, which is the most important aspect in prolonging a sledding season. Going forward, the weather is quite favorable as the temperatures are varying between +2 & 3 to -2 & -13 with some snow and some good sun (this settles to a good base as well). Note that there is no extreme cold yet, but it is only late Nov. In the coming days I’ll give you some history in our winter weather and start up of grooming in the Bathurst area dating back to the early 2000’s. Don’t worry about not getting enough snow here in the Northern part of NB, but having said that, “who can really predict the weather”. It is what it is, but if you really want to know, you can ask the smartest person in the world south of the border.
