Wednesday, Feb 19th, Club #1
- 6 and a bit of snow on the ground this morning. We had an issue with the #1 groomer yesterday with it cutting out, which looked like fuel problems again. It looks like they rectified the problem as it was out on a short run, for test purposes. This moved us back a day on grooming, but it will be caught up shortly. The #2 unit ran from the Host to East Bathurst and the #3 unit ran from Nepisiguit down The Line to highway 360 back on Trail 23 to Nine Mile East to the 430 then back to Nepisiguit. Trails remain 8 to 10.
All clubs around the province are all out grooming with decent snow on the ground and all trails are very good for the amount of snow we have. The NBFSC is offering their “Free Trail Permit Weekend” for visitors to New Brunswick on Feb21, 22, 23 https://www.nbfsc.com/images/whatsnew/docs/FreeTrailPermitWeekend.pdf
Looks like perfect weather for snowmobiling coming for the next 7 days with sunny weather through out this stretch. It is almost like late March and early April sledding. Sun is higher and out longer and with temps from -2 to +5 during the day, there will be peeling of layers on the trail base. Supper is on for 6.30 tonight at Nepisiguit.
