Monday, Feb 24th, Club #1 -12 at post.
Another +5 coming today. It is beautiful spring day riding for the end of February. Trails are holding very well and should freeze up over night as this is when we’ll be doing the grooming. The #1 was idle last night to give the boys a break and the #2 was over from the Host to Bass River and back to East Bathurst on Trail 19. Ron will be looking at getting the drag repaired for the #3 New Holland Groomer today and tomorrow. We went through a decent streak of no majors on the groomers.
Since it is a quiet break we should look at some safety messages again. Speed is always the biggest factor of severe injuries, so here is urging you to slow down in turns and unfamiliar trails for the first time users. Ride on the right side of the trails. You are not in Europe. Slow down for all turns and ride to the extreme right. Don’t park double breasted and off the trail if you can. Never ride two abreast. Put your mind in gear before you put your body in motion.
