Trails are in decent shape and now that we have a groomed Trail to Bathurst, we are hoping that the traffic will pick up the Nepisiguit Lodge. Please be aware that there is minimal snow on this Trail, so we urge caution. Yesterday we sent the #1 out of Rogers Lake to groom Piston Alley as far as Governors. The purpose there was to widen that section of Trail 23, but with 5 to 6 inches of snow over night that will come later.
I don't want to get too optimistic here about the weather, but it looks like we are going to get some decent snow fall in the next week. Temperatures are teetering on the - to + side, so we are hoping that it remains with snow precipitation.
Last night between the #1 and #2 groomers we did 23 from the Nepisiguit Lodge through Rogers Lake, the 507, trail 22 to the 301 intersection, back on 22 to 9 Mi shelter. We also groomed all clusters; Austin Brook, Doucet Cluster, 509 Shady Lane. That snow we received on Monday night helps a bit. We'll see what the weekend brings.
We had our second official executive meeting for Club # 1 last night. In attendance were president Curt Bennet, past president Richard Dobson, vice president Andre Yoston, and other members of the board of directors Peter Kennah, David Hatheway, Tyler Mullen, Joel Cormier, Ron Scott, Jansen Branch, Steve Purcell, Brian Dempsey, Don Kenny, Marc Hannan.
On another note there was a minor accident at Nine Mile shelter last week. The outhouse was accidentally hit by a sled. The building will be looked after as soon as we can get at it. See pic below.
